30" Taylor Creek Directional Bore SLCU Downtown Force Main

(06/19/2009) Ditchdiggers teamed up with American Boring and trenching to complete a 500 lf 30" directional bore casing with a 16" HDPE internal carrier pipe.  American Boring and Trenching provided the large directional bore rigs, support equipment and manpower to thermal fuse the required HDPE pipe, drill the pilot hole, pre-ream and pull back the required pipe.  The bore path required the directional bore to be installed beneath the existing Taylor Creek Marina dry storage building as well as a section of the Florida East Coast Railroad mainline track system.  The directional bore from start to finish was accomplished in three (3) days without event.  Once completed, the existing buildings as well as the railroad mainline track showed no sign of disturbance.
